In Our Hearts Forever

Last Wish

A dying man leaves a letter pleading for help for his cat - It reads:

To whom it may concern -- "Scotty" is very friendly but frightened - afraid of the outdoors. I took him in at 9 months old. He has been tamed and domesticated. He is very healthy and full of life.

I have become very ill at the age of 80 years. I cannot be made well, and as of today, the doctors told me I need to be put permanently in a rest home.

It breaks my heart because "Scotty" is all that I had to cling to --- to live for. You see - at my age, I have out-lived all relatives and have not one soul to help me. It's true -- Please! Would you see if it is possible to let "Scotty" live, while I must die soon.

This is very hurting to me, and is about the last of things my heart must suffer. I need good people to help my poor kitty.

Signed

One with broken heart

We never met Scotty's owner, but have vowed to him (in our prayers) that Scotty will be safe and happy. We have had Scotty for several months and are seeking the perfect home for him.

If you would like more information about Scotty -- or think you may be that exceptional home for him -- please contact us at (310) 364-2030.

We still have the letter Scotty's owner wrote. It reminds us of our strong commitment to help those who, one day, may be in a similar situation. If you do not have anyone to take your pet in case of illness or death, please contact A.A.P.A.

We will take your pet and keep him/her safe. Make arrangements now----before it's too late! We hope you will join together with other friends and supporters. You can do this by remembering the helpless animals in your will.
